I have been busy since we got back from visiting the lavender farms. (If you didn’t get a chance to see the farm, you simply must scroll down and look at the pictures! Lavender is commercially grown on these farms; their beauty is breathtaking.) I picked lots of lavender at the U-Pick farm and am now dividing them up and making small little bouquets wrapped with ribbon. Just a few sweet, simple little gifts.
Some of the pictures turned out so lovely that I have been making cards with the photos. I bought cardstock and simply cut the photo’s out and glued them to the cardstock with ribbon tied around the top. Inside has a little lavender stamp and a place to write a note. I’ve been happy as a kindergartner with a new crayon box as I cut, stamp, and tie ribbon around each unique card. The best part is thinking how pleased friends will be when they receive a lovely handmade photo card of the farm.
The smell of lavender is strong as I work wrapping the little bouquets. My dining room table is filled with snips of lavender paper, photos, and best of all… lavender memories.
